Baby Products I Should Have Registered For

Baby Products I Should Have Registered For | Forever Fuller

The twins are nearing 14 months & as parents, Sean & I have learned so much over the past year! As I was picking up the nursery this afternoon, I realized that a couple items we own have become really useful…& I thought we would never need them!

It’s so hard to know what you’ll need for baby, especially as first time parents. Because we were having twins, I knew that we were going to have more items than if we just had one baby. I really wanted to try to keep things minimal on my registry and only registered for things that I thought we really needed. There are a couple items, however, that I wish I registered for because they would have been nice to have right away.

If you are expecting, then I’m sure these items are already on your list as they are really common & are on most baby registry guides.

Diaper pail: I thought this was a superfluous item that wouldn’t matter in the long run. Yes, it is definitely not necessary, but so worth it! We were using a wastebasket for diapers in their room that I (foolishly) thought we would empty every day. The wastebasket most definitely did not get emptied everyday (hello exhaustion) & you could smell it as soon as you walked into their room. GROSS. Now, their room smells so much better & if we had this in the beginning, I would have been saved from a few gagging episodes. We use the Diaper Genie from Playtex.

Humidifier: My husband learned about humidifiers while he was in nursing school & what a cesspool for germs they are. It was decided pretty early on that we wouldn’t use one. But then…Wyatt started waking up with a dry, bloody nose. It broke my heart! Our doctor recommended getting a cool mist humidifier. Using it at bedtime for a few nights helped clear up his nose & it made me feel so much better that his nose wasn’t irritated. We only use the humidifer once in a while & we always clean it after every use to prevent germs and bacteria from growing. This is something that I wish I had on hand because my poor little man would have had relief a little sooner if we already had one. We have this Crane humidifier.

Fridababy Windi: Poo happens…or maybe it doesn’t? When things aren’t quite moving right & your baby is suffering from constipation or painful gas these things really help. You place the tip into your babies behind (much like a thermometer) & let it do the work. Gross, but who said being a parent was glamorous? This is an item that you don’t know you need, until you need it! They are nice to have on hand because there is nothing worse than seeing your baby in pain. Brought to you by the same company that makes the snot sucker (yes, you should have one of those, too!) Fridababy Windi.

xoxo
