16 Month Update

March 23, 2020 Margaux Fuller
16 Month Update | Forever Fuller

The twins are 16 months old! I’m constantly amazed at how much they are learning & growing. I love to watch their little minds in action! They are learning more words & are bouncing off the walls. Boden can say & identify Mickey (Mouse) which I think is the word I’m most proud of! ;)

Wyatt loves to play with blocks, wash his hands (which is the cutest, ever) & be outside. Miesha is still his favorite & I call him my little sweetheart because he is just so lovey towards his mama!

Boden loves books. I think we read the same three books 100 times a day ;) just about the only time I can get him to sit in my lap is if we are reading a book. I’ll take those cuddles anytime I can get them!

Some activities we’ve been doing lately are finger painting, washing our hands (Wyatt’s favorite), learning to hold a marker + color, going up & down the stairs, wagon rides & of course…playing! The boys usually play well together, but also fight. Which is a somewhat new development. The first picture below was taken right before Boden pulled Wyatt’s hair!

They enjoy playing with their trucks, cars, helicopters…anything that moves! The sounds they make while playing with these toys are too cute…it sounds like a whoooooshing noise.

We’ve been trying to stay busy at home while we are in quarantine. This past weekend, Sean got our backyard cleaned up so we can play outside once the weather gets nicer! The boys (especially Wyatt) love to be outside & explore. He’s always been our little adventurer.

Stay safe & stay healthy!

xoxo

The Boys' Room + Dresser Organization

The Boys' Room + Dresser Organization | Forever Fuller

I thought it was about time to show the boys’ room again! If you didn't see their nursery tour, you can read about it here! I also thought I would share with you how I organize their dresser.

Dresser organization:

I started using these storage cubes from Ikea when I was pregnant & putting together the nursery, they are great for organizing baby clothes & fit in the dresser perfectly.

The top four smaller drawers hold their pajamas, onesies/shirts & socks.

The two middle drawers hold pants, blankets & sheets/mattress protectors. The boys don’t use swaddles anymore, but I had to keep a few of my favorite ones from when they were little! I feel like they might come in handy to use as light blankets when we go for walks.

The bottom two drawers hold diaper genie refills & blankets. We received so many lovely, handmade blankets when the boys were little! We love them all & like to have them easily accessible.

Their closet holds their sweaters, jackets & all of the clothing that is too big for them.

Now onto their room!  Not a ton has changed in their room. We moved their cribs, removed a few things & added more toys. Wyatt & Boden actually use this room to play in now, it’s so sweet watching them play!

The majority of the upstairs toys are kept in their closet. I love the Kallax units from Ikea, they are great for storing toys! Stuffed animals go in a basket & they have a few bigger toys scattered throughout the room (a trike, an activity cube, etc.)

Getting rid of their changing pad means more room for books! These are all of their books that have paper pages & can be easily ripped. They have access to all of their board books, which are either downstairs in their play area or in their room on a low bookshelf.

They have a little reading nook set up with a couple of chairs & a bookshelf. They love to climb up into these chairs & grab books from the shelf! The bookshelf & chairs are from Ikea.

We enjoy spending time playing in their bedroom. When they wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is change them & then we play before going downstairs for breakfast. Call me crazy, but I can’t help but imagine what their room will evolve into as they get older. I even caught myself looking at “big boy” beds online…?!?!? It’s definitely not time for that yet, but it’s fun to look!

Current Makeup Favorites + Daily Makeup Routine

Current Makeup Favorites + Daily Makeup Routine | Forever Fuller

I used to love buying & using makeup (give me all of the eyeshadow, bronzer & highlight), but it’s taken a huge backseat since the twins were born. Now days, my typical makeup routine (if I even wear makeup) is quick & easy. It has been awhile since I have switched up my makeup products, so I know I love these particular items. Here are the products I’ve been using for the past year or longer!

Foundation //  bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick. I really, really like this foundation! It is lightweight & a sheer to medium coverage. I apply this with the smoothing face brush, also from bareMinerals. If I’m not using this particular formula, I’m using their original mineral powder foundation.

Concealer //  For my under eyes, I use this Givenchy concealer in the lightest shade or bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in the lightest shade.  If I have any blemishes to cover up, I usually use the bareMinerals concealer. I apply both formulas with a beauty blender.

Powder // I use mineral veil by bareMinerals to set my foundation.

Blush //  Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow sheer colour stick in the shade N23. I apply this with just my fingers.

Mascara // I love mascara!  After curling my lashes, I usually use bareMinerals Lashtopia. A couple of my other favorites are Lancome Hypnose & Chanel le volume de Chanel.

Eyebrows // I’ve been using the same eyebrow powder for years. I’ve tried using different pencils but I always come back to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in the shade taupe.

Lips // I always throw on some chapstick while doing my makeup or skincare. Sometimes I will add lipstick. Lately I’ve been wearing the bareMinerals Gen Nude Radiant lipstick in the color XOX.

I guess you could say I’m a fan of bareMinerals! Fun fact: BareMinerals (the original powder foundation) was the very first makeup I ever used…way back in junior high! I used it all throughout my high school years. I’ve tried so many other makeup brands & I always seem to come back to this one.

There you have it! These are the products I have been using to help keep my makeup routine quick & easy. What are your favorite makeup products? I love getting recommendations!

xoxo
