31 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

We are getting so close!  I’ve had a lot of swelling this week, which led to a trip to labor & delivery. Don’t worry, everything is good & babies look great! Just when I feel like my body can’t possibly get any bigger...it surprises me!

I know I have said this before, but it really is getting hard to do anything.   Getting out of bed, bending down, getting dressed, going to the bathroom...😳 the list goes on & on.   

I haven’t done much this week due to the fact that I’m still recovering from a cold plus my swelling has been increasing & I’m trying to stay off of my feet.  But, I have managed to get some housework done (slowly) & started packing our hospital bags. 

How far along: 31 weeks

Genders: BOYS

Total weight gain: Holy swelling! The scale is not my friend.

Maternity clothes: I’ve been living in this cute maternity/nursing robe until I pack it away in my hospital bag.

Stretch marks: Still none

Sleep: 🤬😤😖 you can tell how exhausted I am in those pictures!

Best moment this week: Watching Hocus Pocus with Sean…hey it’s the little things. And listening to their heartbeats.

Worst moment this week: Nothing specific...just things in general making me uncomfortable including: rib pain, round ligament pain, pain in my knees from swelling...the list goes on. This week has definitely been the toughest as far as being uncomfortable.

Movement: Still feel them rolling away in there! Early in the week, we borrowed two dopplers & were able to listen to their heartbeats at the same time 💙💙 they were both in sync! Then, when we went to L&D yesterday we got to hear them again!

Cravings: No cravings

Queasy or sick: No nausea, thank goodness. Just acid reflux/heartburn.

Labor signs: I don’t think so?

Belly button in or out: Definitely out

Wedding rings on or off: Off. I tried to put my wedding ring on the other day and couldn’t even get it to the knuckle 😭 Hoping I will be able to get it on again without getting it resized. 

Happy or moody: Both. Tired, excited, uncomfortable...emotions are everywhere! Growing babies is hard.

Looking forward to: Baby boys being here 😜

30 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

I’ve been working away in the nursery & it’s so close to being finished! There’s a little peek of the color :) I can’t wait to share it! 

I’ve washed all of their bedding, swaddles, newborn clothes, etc.  You could say I’m definitely in nesting mode!  But really, I’m just trying to get everything done now so I can relax these last few weeks.  It will be a big relief to have everything set up & put away so we don’t need to worry about it later.

Lately, I’ve noticed that my feet get swollen really easily & my shoes aren’t fitting quite right anymore.  I need to remind myself to take it easy, but I feel like there is so much to do!

How far along: 30 weeks

Genders: BOYS

Total weight gain: 35 lbs. Thinking I’m going to start skipping this question...😂

Maternity clothes: I can’t fit into much else these days! This week, my mom bought me a few of these nursing/maternity bras because I’m quickly outgrowing my others. They are so comfy! I also got myself these jeans from Motherhood Maternity & they are the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever had. Soo stretchy.  

Stretch marks: None yet

Sleep: Sleep has been a little better. Can’t get over the aching & soreness though. 

Best moment this week: Passing my glucose test 👊 I was a little worried since I’m at a higher risk of developing gestational diabetes because I’m carrying twins, but everything was good!

Worst moment this week: Dealing with a head cold.  

Movement: Less jabs/kicks & more rolling. Still feeling hiccups quite a bit.

Cravings: Back to fountain coke...it’s just. So. GOOD.

Queasy or sick: Sick, but not from pregnancy. I’ve come down with a cold...hopefully it will ease up soon. 

Labor signs: No signs of these little munchkins coming yet!

Belly button in or out: I think it’s officially out.

Wedding rings on or off: Originals are still off.

Happy or moody: More moody this week.

Looking forward to: Halloween! Or is it the Halloween candy? 🤔

29 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

This week has been busy!  We had our baby shower & a lot of doctor appointments.  The boys are looking great!  The average week for twins to be born is 35…which is so soon!  I’m hoping they will stay put until 38 weeks but I’m so excited for them to get here 💙💙

We finally got around to purchasing their crib mattresses, so now the cribs are ready for babies & look less like cages.

The nursery is coming along, I’ve been enjoying organizing everything & figuring out what we still need to get.  I’ve also been gearing up for packing the diaper bag & our hospital bags because really, these babies can come any time!

How far along: 29 weeks

Genders: BOYS

Total weight gain: 33 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes, yes, yes

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Sleep is never good...but some nights are definitely better than others. 

Best moment this week: Having our baby shower!  We are blessed with such sweet family & friends.  Also, having an ultrasound & seeing our chunky boys!  Baby B had neck rolls 😂 & they both had hair!

Worst moment this week: Glucose test.  The first few sips were no problem, but I had a tough time finishing the drink within the time limit & felt a little queasy afterward.

Movement: Still moving away! They roll around a lot more now.  They are 3 lbs and 3 lbs 6 ozs! 💪

Cravings: No cravings

Queasy or sick: Acid reflux has come back this week.  Finally bought some Tums which have been helping.

Labor signs: No, but I did have my first (and so far only) Braxton Hicks experience. 

Belly button in or out: It’s either flat or in...hasn’t popped out yet.

Wedding rings on or off: Original rings are still off.  I’ve been wearing a thin gold band and my silicone ring.

Happy or moody: It’s not always easy to be happy when I’m so uncomfortable all of the time…but I try!

Looking forward to: Being 30 weeks (tomorrow!!) which means no more than 8 weeks left 😍
