29 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

This week has been busy!  We had our baby shower & a lot of doctor appointments.  The boys are looking great!  The average week for twins to be born is 35…which is so soon!  I’m hoping they will stay put until 38 weeks but I’m so excited for them to get here 💙💙

We finally got around to purchasing their crib mattresses, so now the cribs are ready for babies & look less like cages.

The nursery is coming along, I’ve been enjoying organizing everything & figuring out what we still need to get.  I’ve also been gearing up for packing the diaper bag & our hospital bags because really, these babies can come any time!

How far along: 29 weeks

Genders: BOYS

Total weight gain: 33 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes, yes, yes

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Sleep is never good...but some nights are definitely better than others. 

Best moment this week: Having our baby shower!  We are blessed with such sweet family & friends.  Also, having an ultrasound & seeing our chunky boys!  Baby B had neck rolls 😂 & they both had hair!

Worst moment this week: Glucose test.  The first few sips were no problem, but I had a tough time finishing the drink within the time limit & felt a little queasy afterward.

Movement: Still moving away! They roll around a lot more now.  They are 3 lbs and 3 lbs 6 ozs! 💪

Cravings: No cravings

Queasy or sick: Acid reflux has come back this week.  Finally bought some Tums which have been helping.

Labor signs: No, but I did have my first (and so far only) Braxton Hicks experience. 

Belly button in or out: It’s either flat or in...hasn’t popped out yet.

Wedding rings on or off: Original rings are still off.  I’ve been wearing a thin gold band and my silicone ring.

Happy or moody: It’s not always easy to be happy when I’m so uncomfortable all of the time…but I try!

Looking forward to: Being 30 weeks (tomorrow!!) which means no more than 8 weeks left 😍

28 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

Hello, third trimester!  I can’t believe that this week was the start of the third trimester…this pregnancy has been going by SO fast.  It’s crazy to think that these baby boys will be here in 10 weeks or less! 

There is no bump picture this week...because I forgot to take one. But I did manage to snap a view from the top!  

How far along: 28 weeks

Genders: BOYS

Total weight gain: 30+ lbs

Maternity clothes: Oh yes.  Mostly wearing maternity clothes except for a few shirts.

Stretch marks: None yet

Sleep:  What sleep?

Best moment this week: Getting some goodies in the mail!  Sean ordered me a workout ball & a belly support belt…why didn’t I get these things sooner?!  The belt has really helped relieve some of my back pain & has been great at supporting this growing bump.  The ball is so comfortable to sit on & also helps relieve some back pain.

I may have also bought myself a few belated birthday gifts from my favorite store. Hey, I deserve it…right?? 😂

Worst moment this week: Rolling over in bed & (what felt like) pulling a stomach muscle...ouch!! It’s getting harder and harder to get up from a laying or sitting position. 

Movement: There has been so much movement this week!  They’ve been having hiccups lateley & it’s so funny feeling/watching them.  We went to the movies earlier this week & they were both moving a ton so Sean was able to feel them, too!

Cravings: Yogurt

Queasy or sick: Not sick, just the usual back/rib pain

Labor signs: No

Belly button in or out: Flat, but getting closer & closer to popping out.

Wedding rings on or off:  I can no longer put my wedding rings on 😭 so I will be wearing my silicone Enso ring for the rest of this pregnancy…probably after, too! 🙈

Happy or moody: A good mix of both

Looking forward to: Seeing family & friends at my baby shower on Sunday!  And going to the Harvest Festival this weekend
